In the aforementioned post, I discussed that I was building my project on a Mac. Once I got it built, I found that the lighting was going through walls:
Light ON:
Light OFF:
This was to do with when building all the project (compiling the shaders etc) the engine slowed to a crawl and it was suggested to me to reduce the settings which I did. Turns out the fix is to set the shadow quality from low to medium (or higher):
Shadow Quality LOW:
