Since I've just completed week 2 of the currently running Coursera course on Algorithms Design and Analysis Part 2. Half the coursework of the second week required an implementation of the k-means clustering, however, the only output was a number. This was pretty boring. While making a cup of tea, the idea came to me - the clustering would look pretty cool if it was implemented graphically, and since I had the algorithm down that was the hard part out of the way (actually that was the easy bit...).
But now I have the GUI sorted out it looks pretty cool!
te my Java coursework is progressing - added biomes (they don't make any difference logic wise, just make the world look more varied). Originally they was grass, sand and snow but that was too clashing on the eyes, so its now just grass, light grass and dark grass:
