I don't think there's been any turn based RPGs about Yakuza, so I shall be one of the first.
The turn based battle system will allow the characters in the battle to have two types of attacks:
/b> - Typical hand to hand combat (includes short range weapons such as knives etc). Example attacks which come under this category: Punch, Kick, Throat Punch, Choke, Neckbreaker, Stab, Slash, Shuriken, Iron Pole -- except have more jazzy names. (Ice Punch, Fire Punch)
Gun - Involves the use of guns: Revolver Blast, Pistol Whip, Fire Bullet, Dragon's Rifle... etc
As well as attacks, there will be spiritual crap which the player can use to buff their characters as well as damage enemies:
Spiritual - Dragon's Guard, Fire Blast...(will require some kind of mana points to use)
I think this covers the basic battle system which I need to do to continue! Back to development (well, parsing XML files... joy...)
